All those Britney Spears fans who watched her meteoric rise, free-fall, and resurrection will soon have her on their mobiles, in early 2016, stated this news report.
The talented pop star has signed an eight-year partnership with Glu Mobile, the same firm which designed the Kim Kardashian Hollywood app. After Katy Perry, who also signed a deal with Glu Mobile in February this year and has launched her app, Britney Spears has smelled the big bucks in apps/games as well.
Lindsay Lohan is another star, who has also put up an iPad game called ‘The Price of Fame’, which got mixed reviews, with some rating it as terrible and others saying it has “a bit of an edge to it.”
Katy Perry’s app lets her fans “carry all of Katy’s latest songs, videos, news, pics and more with you everywhere!” states the app’s description. It also assures that users will be the “first to know about tour dates, promotions, releases and other exclusive content.” Users also earn rewards for connecting and sharing with friends.
While hard numbers are not available for the others, Kim Kardashian Hollywood is expected to have made over $100 million since it was released in June 2014, and is projected to make $200 million. Kim, in a shrewd move, is rumoured to be earning 45% of her game’s net profits.
