Residents of Gujarat will soon be able to get their ration card or income certificate by simply logging on to a mobile app, since the Gujarat government is all set to launch ‘Digital Gujarat’, an app which will provide several such services on the lines of e-services already being rendered through digitalgujarat.gov.in. According to Gujarat’s IT, science and technology secretary Dhananjay Dwivedi,
The app will be launched by Independence Day this year. Currently, 30 services are offered through the website while 180 services are offered across counters. This includes availing ration cards, caste certificates, income certificates and SC/ST certificates, among others.”
The Times of India reports that he added that to avail the app’s services, the user will have to first create a profile on the website.
