Fingerprint sensors aren’t new to smartphone screens. They let you unlock your device quicker than a password or pattern. In fact, the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy can even have different fingers carry out the same task. However, what if you had a wearable fingerprint sensor that lets you control various devices using different parts of your palm? Digital Trends reports that this is exactly what ‘Tapdo’ does.
Tapdo is a smartwatch-cum-fingerprint reader that lets you map shortcuts for your smart devices to various parts of your hand. Irina Reimer, the band’s Kickstarter campaign manager, said,
People are using so many apps on their smartphone every day, but there is no way to control them simultaneously. This is the problem that Tapdo solves.”
With it, you can use one finger to control your bedside lamp and one to control music. The watch also packs IFTTT integration, along with its 20 fingerprint-based functions.
