Facebook is set to rival business-focused social network LinkedIn with a new feature that lets companies post job listings on its platform. Engadget reports that the new support for job listings on company pages begins with the US and Canada in the next few weeks. While the move gives vacancies more visibility, it also promises to streamline other issues that bother both job seekers and recruiters.
The new feature is convenient for users since it can automatically fill in a form with details from their Facebook profile. Also, you can hear back from recruiters via Messenger. The feature will display job listings in your News Feed if you’ve liked a company’s page. What’s more is that companies can also pay to increase the chances that their listings will be visible to specific demographics. Additionally, there’s even a dedicated jobs section on both the web version and mobile apps.
