At its recent event, Samsung didn’t just unveil an AI assistant and a router that packs a smart home hub. The show was largely about the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. And so far, they haven’t been disappointing. According to Engadget, the near bezel-less phones have rear-mounted fingerprint sensors and boast integration with the newly-launched Bixby assistant. They also come with Quad HD+ resolution screens, Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipsets, and 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. However, these aren’t the features everyone is so excited about.
The waterproof and dustproof handsets also reportedly come equipped with Bluetooth dual audio. This means that users can stream Bluetooth audio to two different speakers or headsets simultaneously! You can even control the volume of both audio sources separately. That’s not all. The S8’s face and fingerprint detection don’t only let you unlock your phone. Samsung is now expanding its Samsung Pass feature to use biometrics to sign into not only a wider array of financial services, but also shopping (as rumored) and other websites. A phone that lets you sign in to websites using your face! Moreover, the S8’s version of S Health also includes an option to talk to a doctor. Finally, the phone is also the first to pack Bluetooth 5.0! Let’s hope these beauties don’t face the same fate as the Note 7.
