Vodafone India has partnered the SaveLIFE Foundation to launch an Android road safety app for users. ET Telecom reports that the ‘Road Safe’ app is aimed at preventing distracted driving. Its launch follows a study finding that the company shared, that says 41% of people use phones for work-related purposes while driving. Road Safe will automatically disable calls, SMSes and push notifications when your vehicle speed crosses 10 km/hour. The free app also includes tips and information on traffic fines and offenses. Further, Vodafone and SaveLIFE will even put out a video on various platforms, to urge citizens to ignore phone calls while driving.
